Differential Riding

Ok…odd title, I know but allow me to explain.

I am a future teacher or at least that is the plan, we shall see. Anyway, when I told my riding instructor this, she proceeded to tell me about her 8 yrs of experience with 3rd grade. As well as how her son is thinking about becoming a teacher too.  We talked about money and other such issues as well as how being the different levels of being licensed are good and bad. The numbers of teachers need was also talked about.

Then while we were riding, I realized that my instructor used a technique called differentiated teaching. Something that Great teachers have used for years but recently become “the new big thing” and  pushed by some teacher education programs including mine. It was exciting to see someone use the technique at the college level.
